Dr. Susanna Loeb

Susanna Loeb is a professor of education and director of the National Student Support Accelerator and the SCALE Initiative at Stanford.

Susanna Loeb is a professor of education and director of the National Student Support Accelerator and the SCALE Initiative at Stanford University. Before returning to Stanford, she was the director of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform and professor of international and public affairs and education at Brown University. Her current research focuses broadly on education policy and its role in improving educational opportunities for students. Her work has addressed issues of educator career choices and professional development, of school finance and governance, and of early childhood systems. Susanna has been the Barnett Family Professor of Education at Stanford University, where she was the founding director of the Center for Education Policy (CEPA) at Stanford and co-director of Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) and led the Getting Down to Facts research projects. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Education SIEPR, JPAL and NBER. She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan.
